le ruban blanc

just two days ago, someone told me this story, something that she heard from the radio, which i made me feel like posting it up here. it goes as something like this;

Do you know that one of the most googled sentence in google is actually 'how to forget someone'. and all around the world, in each passing day, there are people out there trying to forget about other people and would search at every nook and cranny for the remedy to miraculously blank out a certain past or someone in their lives. hence one of the most googled sentence 'how to forget someone'. as we all know that google would most often continue the sentence for us before it being fully typed out. but here's the thing, when you actually start typing 'how to forg...' another sentence would then appear ' how to forgive yourself' instead of 'how to forget someone'. perhaps the notion behind this story is that, as common as it may sound 'forgetting someone' is usually near to impossible unless you gotten yourself a head trauma and lost your memory. not to mention the execution of effort to forget someone on purpose also denote the impossibility of not 'remembering', as that person must have been a rather significant someone in your life for you to want to consciously 'unremember' him or her. hence it is better to 'forgive yourself' than to 'forget someone'. or that there are far more people that are interested in 'forgiving yourself' than 'forgetting someone'. :)

so being somewhat curious, i actually attempted to type 'how to forg..' and the first sentence that comes out is..... it's still 'how to forget someone' and 'how to forgive yourself' only comes after 'how to forgive... *a dozen other people*'.

putting the validity of this story aside, i wonder at how much truth or reason there is in this 'forgetting and forgiving story'. whether is there a link between the former and the latter.

i guess that if it was posed as a random question, some might even deny it upfront while secretly having been googled it up in the past in front of their computers when no one is around, when they are truly alone. while the slight embarrassment crept up as you consciously type the letters on how to forget...
as embarrassing as it may be to some people, it certainly takes some form of courage to actually google up these words on how to forget someone. however silly or unnecessary it may be in reality, the sense of the urgency felt at that time won over any after thoughts that may have occurred at a later time. but back to the rationality of this simple story, so whats the link? why do i have to learn to forgive myself if i ever felt the need to forget someone? i wonder..

of course the most ideal outcome would be to forget about someone in a blink of an eye.. be it an estranged lover or someone that had done you a great deal of harm.. vice versa, it could be anything at all. i think that the most crucial thing here does not lie in whether or not we remember someone but rather on how we feel about them as time goes by. it's not just about the significant people in our lives, we would always remember the insignificant people or event in our lives purely due to memory. but it doesn't bother us, does it?

perhaps this is a rather subjective topic, rather modified by individual's mind suited to serve only in certain occasions. perhaps this short random story does ring true on some individuals, that it is better to forgive yourself than to forget about someone. however they may want to see it. or perhaps it is to forgive yourself for the fact that you are never gonna forget about that certain someone, hence save up the googling. i don't have a strong opinion on this one. all i see is just something rather random. a random "food for thought" that may not be relevant in our daily lives. as it encourages us to pick the latter when faced with the former.

#Epic Goverment fail + #Epic Polis Diraja fail

= #Epic Lie Fail.

Growing up.. i had not been very politically inclined unfortunately so it's best for me to keep it short and sweet as everyone has an opinion and i guess that we could all pretty much already gauge what the rakyat would say (yellow or any other colors for that matter), what BN would say, and what the opposition leaders would say for this whole situation ( based on what everyone is/ has already been saying in this matter)

I am not taking any sides politically ( like i've mention, perhaps im just not that politically familiar to take sides... yet) and in my very humble opinion, every party may (or may not) have their own agendas.

But i am definitely 'for voting' and for a fair and clean voting system.
as we all know 'every vote counts'..
once the elections are fair and Bersih of course. XD

Crème de la Crème #8

Sexy Megan Fox in Azzedine Alaia. I lurve everything about this dress, from the color to the cutting. there's something about this dress which is demure yet sexy.

Kate Bosworth in Richard Nicoll. and a simple Chloe sandal. love the diamante straps. (too small to see in pic)Growing up, i had always prefer colors like black or white instead of pink, to appear more grown up. being a young adult, i am embracing pink instead, and lurve how different shades of pink could do wonders for all skin-tones.

Portia De Rossi in Victoria Beckham. simple classic one- piece like this one is my all-time favourite, as these are of a heavier material, rather than cheap stretchable polyester. it's figure flattering cutting would almost flatter anyone with a waistline. which could be rather tricky, because the cutting of the dress itself needs to be perfectly seamless and without any minor flaws as a tiny stitching flaw could result in small bulges in the silhouette. Hence you could observe that only the pricier labels makes such dresses. Pricy.. but timeless.

Blake Lively in Matthew Wiliamson. Kudos for Blake Lively for almost always being able to camouflage her pear-shaped bod with clothes. or rather Kudos to her stylist. As seen here with a looser embellished top (lurve the sequins) with a tight leather mini. For her young age, she obviously doesnt need breast-implants, but now i can see the reason why she does it. to balance out her body and drives away attention from her wide hips.

Petite Eva in an ivory Victoria Beckham. again, one of my fave pieces.

For You

I've been procrastinating.. but here they are.. it's nearly a century old. okay, so some month's old pics aren't exactly ancient but compared to mine.. most people prolly load their pics the morning after. so my cousin has been complaining. yea.. mmkay.. i get it.

speaking of my edgy cousin yang cantek, this is her..

this is denise. freshly (or not so fresh) squeezed from new zealand. high-protein, full- cream.

and this is krys. xD

at itallianies @ the gardens.

bored.. so we decided to 'cam-whore'.
like I've said.. i don't cam. whore. so am afraid there isn't much whoring in most of the pics.

"whoring"(cam) ..

attempt to "whore" (cam) fail. . they say, if at first you don't succeed.. try.. try again.. lol!

could you tell if she was pretending to look elsewhere while taking pic or was she really looking out the window? a skilled 'cam-whorer'.....
i can't remember actually. -.-''
lame ques. ya, i know rite. -___-

waiting..

waiting..

still waiting..

still..

So this is my dear younger sis. oh how we love exchanging gifts and birthday prezzies cos i only see her during her hols each year. lurve spending time with her. she's just amazing

Finally ^^ ( imo, this is the only dish that taste good in Itallianies. funny how some restaurants just turn mediocre once they get a bit famous. they used to taste much better back then.)

p.s : i hope 'you' like it.

Crème de la Crème #7

Angelina Jolie in sequined Emporio Armani. This tube dress speaks true Angelina style. Sequins never goes out of style. Be it 1990 or 2020. seriously.

Kylie Minouge in David Koma. Love the structured front. Pairing Leopard print heels with the white dress gives the whole outfit an 'unrestrained wilderness' as opposed to a clean and structured look.

Charlize Theron mix and match with Dior pants. Love the pairing of nude boots with grey trousers, pairing it with any other colors might have given it a corporate look instead. This proves that androgynous could be sexy. *if you have a gorgeous face*.

Alexis Biedel in Stella Mccartney silk floral frock. Love the picture-esque flower prints, tho for some reasons i find this frock much more suitable for caucasian women than asians. Asians, especially chinese would look very ah lian in it due to the way this dress is. Everything in it. Clearly Miss Stella didn't have an asian in mind while designing this lovely dress.

Jennifer Aniston in tweed Dolce & Gabbana. This brings back the retro chic feel. Not for every occasion as a full tweed dress looks ultra classy in the correct event, say Luncheon, high-tea or public social event. but a big no-no in nightclubs, movie dates or "pasar malam".

zouking with the wonderful people

Went to Zouk with both of my lovely cousins a couple of weeks ago.. if im not mistaken. it was darn crowded. which is a good thing cos nobody would wanna go to a half empty club. but ironically, the crowd is the last thing that i like being in a club. cos u get toe- stepped *regardless of how drunk or sober you are* and your shoes will be nearly ruined by the end of the night. here are the pictures. anyways, some of the photos here aren't exactly picture perfect, but i'll just post up watever i've been tagged.
because the most important thing here is we had fun :)
luckily these aren't taken by my camera cos by the time i post it, it would be near ancient. speaking of pictures, i have yet to post pictures from my cam, which they are still considered as quite new. cos few months old pictures are still new. right?

this is my uber talented and hawt cousin. her name is u-mae. unfortunately for guys out there, she isn't available. ;P

so this is what i'm talking about. i must have been dreaming. and i notice i do indeed.. look like a fish. from the side. and sometimes from the front view. *a goldfish perhaps.. or some other aquatic being. maybe a dori fish. no.. more like a goldfish* . it's okay, im not hurt or anything.. LOL. i like being compared to a fish. yea, weird.. i know. it's not because i have a fish fetish or anything. i just got used to these comments since i was young. and so i got used to this notion.

Btw, i need to make an announcement here.. ladies and gentlemen.. meet zlwin chew, my dear friend. Zouk's magician and mentalist. super talented. can bend spoons and stuff.

i do not know why females take pictures at the toilet. prolly because of the mirror.

one too many long island. was this barsonic or..... nevermind. -.-

me and my gorgeous and brilliant cousin who just came back from new zealand.

i think.. we look similar in a 'sorta- kinda' way..

till then.. xoxo

Now ain't that some sh.. (Ain't that some sh..)
And although there's pain in my chest
I still wish you the best with a
Forget you ~~

I was never a big fan of Glee. so im not an avid audience. A bit tad high-school-ish for me. and Simply because Lea Michele has the most annoying voice. ever.
but if Gwyneth Paltrow is a guest artist.. and so this is good performance. the best that ever came out from Glee. way better than the original version. imho.

This is Holly Holliday. her voice and her moves speaks for itself.
